The Massachusetts Department of Public Health requires pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers to disclose certain transactions with anyone who prescribes, dispenses, or purchases prescription drugs or medical devices in the Commonwealth. This includes any fee, payment, subsidy, or other economic benefit with a value of at least $50.
Massachusetts revised its reporting template and updated their covered recipient list for the 2019 disclosure due July 1, 2020. The new template includes the renaming and reformatting of data columns as well as the addition of a “disclosure year” field. Most of the reportable information is the same.
All disclosure files in the correct format, should be emailed to the Department at Pharmameddata@massmail.state.ma.us. Emails must contain the following information in the subject line of the email: “Manufacturer name”, “manufacturer unique ID”, and “disclosure report calendar year.”
