General Summary

The DevOps Engineer will be located in our Portsmouth, NH office and part of the team that is responsible for designing, deploying, and operating the infrastructure and applications. We are looking for someone to work in a startup environment that is constantly growing and evolving. The ideal candidate will work with developers and teammates in troubleshooting problems, identifying resolutions, and assessing situations in real time. Our team is empowered to keep our fast-paced, high volume processing environment operational for our clients.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintaining our existing infrastructure and code
  • Maintain applications in AWS Elastic Beanstalk and OpsWorks
  • Be involved in real-time assessment of issues and help develop solutions
  • Create tools and solutions to manage and monitor our rapidly growing infrastructure and operations
  • Monitor software and systems to detect issues before they impact business operations
  • Take part in performance and capacity monitoring planning
  • Configuration management, systems optimization, security patching and software upgrades
  • Database administration of cloud hosted databases including database migrations and backup management
  • Support and manage business/development tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with the administration of email and other marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, template creation and list processing using marketing automation software such as HubSpot and SalesForce.com
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing marketing program results to measure success and incorporate findings into future campaigns
  • Assist with writing and proofreading web, digital, and print content, including case studies, product collateral, and presentation material

General Summary

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Staff Accountant will have a diverse set of responsibilities and be required to work closely with all members of the MMIS team. The individual should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a wide-range of activities, including creating, reviewing and reconciling day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This will include, participating in timely and accurate generation of financial statements and preparing internal and external financial reports. In addition, the individual in this role will require the ability to take on special projects as assigned while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the accounting function, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
  • Assist in tracking accounts receivable to identify past due accounts, send reminder notifications, and ensure the overall quality of the AR balance in terms of collectability
  • Prepare and transmit the payroll to payroll provider biweekly
  • Work with managers to obtain appropriate approvals on all accounts payable invoices
  • Maintain accounting systems by inputting and verifying data
  • Manage employee travel and expense submission and approval process
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards on a monthly basis
  • Document and ensure proper keeping and maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies
  • Responsible for creating, reviewing and reconciling day-to-day accounting transactions.
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel
  • Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system to prepare reports as necessary
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
  • Prepare monthly account analyses and reconciliations, including general ledger accounts, for review and approval
  • Prepare manual monthly journal entries for purposes of preparing financial statements
  • Assist in preparing accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department
Competencies Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1 – 3 years of related finance and accounting experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP reporting and compliance, and thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Experience with a software or SaaS company is preferred
