What does the Medicaid team actually do, day to day, that might surprise people outside of the industry?

“Our clients are pharmaceutical companies, and we manage all of their Medicaid state invoices from beginning to end. That entails data entry, business analysis, finance, and a whole lot of problem solving. No two invoices are ever alike.” — Danielle, Medicaid Claims Processor

“We manage the entire Medicaid rebate process for our pharmaceutical clients — from downloading and validating state invoices to reconciling rebates, resolving disputes, and processing payments that run into the millions, all while ensuring government compliance. What’s something that keeps the team energized, even when the work gets complex or repetitive?

“I put together a Slack channel called ‘Watercooler Vibes’ — a place to share updates that aren’t work-related. On Fridays, I share a fun fact and ask the team something related to it. We’ve also started post-quarterly team meetings to help build morale, and we always get together to celebrate birthdays.” — Mandee, Medicaid Business Analyst
